In this webinar, we will discuss communication strategies while working with students who are experiencing homelessness. Specifically, we will discuss best practices for working with students when they self-disclose their homeless situation, promoting support for this population, and increasing knowledge and sensitivity on campus. Participants will walk away with ideas of how to provide outreach to students experiencing homelessness on campus, strategies for talking with students when they self-disclose, and ideas for how to provide resources to other departments on campus.

Cybersecurity is always the top priority if you ask higher education, as well as state or local IT leaders. In a space that moves so fast and affects so many, two of the most common challenges named by security staff are the feeling of isolation in knowing that they face all these threats alone from their resource-constrained, staff-limited offices, and a general feeling of being overwhelmed by the new varieties of cyberattacks discovered each day.

This SNG Live session is part of U.S. CyberWeek and will bring together cybersecurity leaders to explore the ongoing challenge of cybersecurity at the state and local government level, as well as in higher education. They will discuss the ongoing battle in protecting critical infrastructure and constituent data with a focus on lessons learned about the everchanging cyber landscape.

Federal agencies are improving their cybersecurity posture to some degree, particularly as they develop better basic cyber hygiene and modernize their legacy systems. At the same time, hackers are getting better at finding new ways to attack and access federal IT.

This SNG Live session is part of U.S. CyberWeek will bring together cybersecurity leaders for a conversation on the latest challenges they are facing in dealing with emerging threats, securing a more remote workforce and sharing strategies for staying ahead of adversaries.

                    Description

Federal agencies are improving their cybersecurity posture to some degree, particularly as they develop better basic cyber hygiene and modernize their legacy systems. At the same time, hackers are getting better at finding new ways to attack and access federal IT.

This SNG Live session is part of U.S. CyberWeek will bring together cybersecurity leaders for a conversation on the latest challenges they are facing in dealing with emerging threats, securing a more remote workforce and sharing strategies for staying ahead of adversaries.

Community Women Empowered is a professional networking organization that promotes the interests of working women in the community. We encourage, protect, and advance the welfare of women in the workplace and in the community through networking, collaboration, and education. We go beyond "women supporting women" because our empowerment should come from everybody supporting and uplifting women.

On the third Wednesday of each month, Community Women Empowered will hold a networking and discussion event. The first 30 minutes will be reserved for networking. At this time, women can submit topics of conversation that they have recently faced in their business, in the workplace, or topics that they would like input on. This can be done anonymously. We will discuss these trending topics to get different perspectives on them in our meeting.
