How to connect to people to find your next job! Not as hard as you might think!

About this event

Virtual meetings are here to stay. Yet experts say 76% of new jobs are found through networking. But how can you network while practicing social distancing? As we begin a "blended approach" to business networking - learn the do's and do-nots.

Surprisingly, it's easier than you think.

Learn how to:

  1. Reach out to connect
  2. Build rapport
  3. Increase your visibility
  4. Develop your skills to make that connection to get your next job.

Understand the “Do’s and don’ts of networking” to maximize your job search efforts.

    1. Registration closes 24 hours prior to workshop.
    2. Your meeting access link will be emailed with shortly before the meeting.
    3. If you are interested in more free workshops, computer classes and job fairs, please visit: https://www.northcookjobcenter.com/events/list/

Add to Calendar 3:00 PM 1/25/20224:30 PM America/Chicago Managing Student Loan Debt Student loan debt is not only a personal financial crisis for many, it is a national crisis with the accumulated debt at nearly $1.6 trillion. Student loan debt is now the second-highest consumer debt category, only behind mortgage debt--higher than both credit card debt and auto loans. For many, this is their single most expensive life purchase. Come to this webinar to understand how to deal with your student loan debt—this is a debt that does not go away, and is not discharged in most Bankruptcies. The first step in dealing with your student loans is to really understand what you’re dealing with. What type of student loans do you have--federal or private? Or maybe, like a lot of people, you have both—learn strategies and options in paying your student loan debt. In his webinar, we will discuss federal and private loans, repayment options, federal student loan rehabilitation, loans in deferment and forbearance, dealing with student loan collections, and ways to attack your student loan debt.  https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_sKRXn5KmQYOfFl2uZQjatQ
