Non-Negotiable: Pay Equity for Women
An event in solidarity with Latina Equal Pay Day, the last Equal Pay Day of the year, and economic justice for all women all year round.
Presented by the Equal Pay Day Chicago Coalition
All women experience a pay gap, but Latinas face one of the widest pay disparities of any group of women—earning on average just 55 cents for every dollar a white man earns. At the current rate of progress, Latinas will not see equal pay until 2197—nearly 200 years from now!
On October 21st, join the Equal Pay Day Chicago Coalition for Non-Negotiable: Pay Equity for Women, an event in solidarity with Latina Equal Pay Day, the last Equal Pay Day of the year, and economic justice for all women all year round. The event will feature a salary negotiation workshop, focused on the particular barriers facing Latinas and other women of color, to equip you with the tools you need to get paid your worth. We’ll follow with a panel conversation focused on the broader systemic, structural, and societal barriers to pay equity, and what we can all do to make an impact.
