SNAP/TANF Job Placement & Training Orientation
SER Central States invites anyone who receives SNAP or TANF to their Job Placement & Training Orientation that occurs every Monday (except State Holidays) between 10:00am-2:00pm! During the orientation, you will learn about services provided including:
- Assistance in finding a job
- Getting the help you deserve:
- Access to Training
- Job Placement Assistance
- Financial Assistance
- Access to the Latest Technology
- Job Readiness
SER Central States office is under contract with DHS to assist anyone who receives SNAP or TANF in finding employment, work experience, or training opportunities. The program provides numerous support services to assist in finding employment including transportation costs, interview clothing, work clothing required by an employer, resume assistance, and job leads. There are several computer labs where that teach workforce development, job readiness, and computer skills needed to get employment. Gift cards are provided when you find employment and work steadily 30 hours per week for at least 90 days, in addition to transportation assistance for the same 90 days after you find employment!
