St. Sabina Employment Resource Center will be an instruction site for Construct Infrastructure Academy provided by ComEd.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Designed for individuals looking to start a career in the Energy Industry. Construct is a free 11-week program that addresses the basic skills in Math, English, Employability, and General Construction in the context of preparing for careers in the Construction or Utility field. The program starts on February 6, 2023, and ends Friday, April 21, 2023. The workshop time is from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM each day. 

CERTIFICATIONS: OSHA 10-HOUR, Cast CDL Permit

TRAINING: Flagger Class, Rigging & Hand Tools Instruction, Customer Service

NETWORKING: The opportunity to meet over 30 partnering companies and union trades.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Pass TABE Test with a minimum 10th-grade level in Reading and Math
  • Be able to pass a drug screening
  • Have a current valid Driver's License and Social Security Card 
  • Be available Monday - Friday from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm
  • Have a computer with internet access
