Short-term, no-nonsense, technical, hands-on training at no cost for eligible low-income applicants. In only 15 weeks, you will learn the skills needed for rewarding entry-level positions in cabinetmaking, furniture making, exhibit building, and the wood products industry from experienced and supportive instructors.  Entry salaries range from $17 - $21 per hour, growing to $22 - $40 per hour with years of on-the-job experience.  There’s no limit to your learning in this field.  Fast track through training to careers as skilled cabinetmaker apprentice, bench carpenter, machine operator, CNC operator, assembler, furniture fabricator, or solid surface counter fabricator.  Study CNC operation, print reading, precision measuring, and cabinetmaking techniques.

    Career Quest is structured around interactive learning, mentorship, and real-world application, ensuring that participants gain both theoretical knowledge and practical career skills. The program integrates:

        Throughout the apprenticeship, participants will work under the guidance of experienced chefs, gaining practical experience in various areas of the kitchen, such as sautéing, fabrication, and sauce preparation. The curriculum includes both classroom instruction, kitchen lab, and on-the-job training, allowing apprentices to learn techniques, flavor profiles, and food safety practices while applying them in real time.

        In addition to culinary techniques, the program emphasizes teamwork, time management, and equipping participants with the necessary tools to advance in their culinary careers.

        By the end of the apprenticeship, participants will have the confidence and experience needed to pursue further opportunities in the culinary world. This program not only serves as a stepping stone for future roles but also fosters a deep appreciation for the art of cooking and the culinary industry.

In only 15 weeks, you will learn the skills needed for rewarding entry-level positions in cabinetmaking, furniture making, exhibit building, and the wood products industry from experienced and supportive instructors.  Entry salaries range from $17 - $21 per hour, growing to $22 - $40 per hour with years of on-the-job experience.  There’s no limit to your learning in this field.  Fast track through training to careers as skilled cabinetmaker apprentice, bench carpenter, machine operator, CNC operator, assembler, furniture fabricator, or solid surface counter fabricator.  Study CNC operation, print reading, precision measuring, and cabinetmaking techniques.

The curriculum includes both classroom instruction, kitchen lab, and on-the-job training, allowing apprentices to learn techniques, flavor profiles, and food safety practices while applying them in real time.

              In addition to culinary techniques, the program emphasizes teamwork, time management, and equipping participants with the necessary tools to advance in their culinary careers.

              By the end of the apprenticeship, participants will have the confidence and experience needed to pursue further opportunities in the culinary world. This program not only serves as a stepping stone for future roles but also fosters a deep appreciation for the art of cooking and the culinary industry.

              The on-site info session offers an engaging overview of our facility, designed to provide visitors with a comprehensive understanding of our operations and mission. The tour begins with a welcome session, where participants are given an outline of the day's agenda.  Participants can ask questions and engage in discussions, ensuring a deeper understanding of our work. The program concludes with a Q&A session, allowing for further interaction and feedback, and providing participants with valuable takeaways about our facility's impact and future goals.
