Program Details

Kaylee Powe was enrolled in the October 2025 Cohort 1 group. We extended Kaylee’s participation for an additional three months to provide her with extra support in obtaining her GED. During this extended time, she successfully earned her GED. Additionally, she became certified in First Aid/CPR, Safety Awareness for Forklift Equipment, Safe Lift 2, and the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). While at YouthBuild, Kaylee focused on finding employment and securing her own housing. After completing the program, she gained employment and was able to save enough money to rent her own apartment. In August, Kaylee began a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) class at Rend Lake College, and she is currently finishing her CNA clinicals in preparation for her state testing. We are proud of her dedication to achieving her goals.
