Taking Strides
Program Details
Juliette Serna’s house project turned out amazing, and she took great pride in completing the majority of the painting herself. Throughout her participation in the program, she demonstrated strong attention to detail, creativity, and a willingness to learn new skills. With the consistent support and guidance of the program’s trainers and staff, she built confidence in her abilities and refined her techniques. Their mentorship helped prepare her for the next steps in her career and ensured she had the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in the construction industry.
At the program’s Mock Interviews, several respected companies—including Power Construction, Skender, and Pepper Construction—expressed strong interest in her potential and work ethic. Ultimately, her dedication and the preparation she received through the program paid off when she was accepted into CWIT’s Women Painters Pre-Apprenticeship Program in April. This opportunity marks an exciting milestone in her journey.
