More Than an Apprenticeship: Testing My Skills with DO! Media
Program Details
My name is Ari Williams, and I was selected to be a personal assistant and project manager for Danita Patterson and DO! Media following my Destiny Outreach industry training. I discovered Destiny Outreach while on a break from film school. I knew exactly what I wanted to do, but at the time, financial hiccups made achieving what I had worked so hard for feel seemingly impossible. That is why, when I learned about an industry-related apprenticeship, I jumped at the chance.
Throughout the training and my later placement, I hoped to test, prove, and advance the skills I learned in school alongside other creative minds at different stages of their careers. Not only did I connect with like-minded artists who validated and challenged my own skills, but I also received guidance from industry professionals who had overcome the very hardships that were hindering my success.
From the career-building workshops to the on-site, hands-on production experiences, I know I am not the same person who entered training five months ago. I am more thankful than I can express to Destiny Outreach for this journey.
