Khalyn Harris Success Story
During my time in the Destiny Outreach (DO!) Apprenticeship program, I had the opportunity to work with Central City Productions on a research project to build a database of churches across several states. My role involved finding churches, identifying their pastors and leadership, verifying contact information, and organizing all the data into spreadsheets. This work helped me improve my research skills, attention to detail, and organization. It also showed me exactly how much work goes into building connections between organizations and communities.
The Destiny Outreach program gave me the chance to gain real hands-on experience while building skills that will help me throughout my career. I learned how to manage a large research project, communicate professionally, and stay organized while handling a high volume of information. The program also helped me grow more confident in my abilities and add valuable experience to my resume. Overall, the apprenticeship pushed me to challenge myself, learn new things, and continue working toward my goals in media, production, and community-focused work.
