Success Story: Zechariah Wallace
I joined the DO! Apprenticeship program to gain experience and figure out what I want to do moving forward. Throughout the program, I stayed involved and made the most of the opportunities given to me.
I spent time learning and gaining knowledge. After I was placed, my time shifted to capturing content at events and interviews, which helped me improve with a camera and learn to use the skills they taught me to tell stories through content. It helped me become more comfortable around different people and in different environments. I was also part of group discussions and planning sessions, and I even did a mock podcast, which helped me open up more and share my thoughts.
The program helped me build my confidence, communication skills, and creativity. It also made me start thinking more about how I can turn my creativity into something bigger.
Overall, the experience helped me feel more prepared and confident about what’s next. I plan to keep building my skills and stay consistent with what I’m doing.
