Trevion’s experience highlights the impact of intentional coaching on both performance and mindset. At one point, he was on the verge of being removed from the program due to repeated tardiness and absences. Recognizing his potential, his coach took a more targeted approach—assigning him hands-on building tasks that aligned with his strengths and could re-engage his interest. These responsibilities gave Trevion a renewed sense of purpose and ownership in his work.

In addition to practical tasks, the coach had a direct, encouraging conversation with him about the importance of accountability, timeliness, and representing his best self in both the shop and the classroom. The message was clear: the habits he built now would shape how future employers viewed him. That combination of support and expectation proved to be a turning point.

Since then, Trevion has shown consistent improvement. He now arrives early, remains attentive throughout the day, and actively asks questions to deepen his understanding. Distractions, such as phone use, have noticeably declined. He has also taken on end-of-day shop responsibilities, demonstrating increased reliability and initiative. Each day, he continues to build momentum, reflecting the powerful role coaching plays in unlocking growth and long-term success.
