Human Resources at Stevens Industry knew that they had a need, so they found a way to grow their own talent.
"Having an apprenticeship has helped me in many ways. It is providing opportunities to better my education while I learn and grow within my current role as a teacher assistant at Stevens Industry and towards becoming a future teacher. I have always known I’ve wanted to work with children. When I first started at Tot Mate Central I was welcomed and told that if I was interested in becoming teacher qualified someday that they would be happy to help me. When I was ready to take this big step I was offered an apprenticeship which made me feel so ecstatic. This has made me feel seen and so appreciative. I have learned so much by having hands on experience within this job along while gaining educational insight through schooling." -Alyssa Cavazos
