Credentials Earned: The student obtained a pharmacy technician license by completing a work-based learning program. Throughout the program, the student engaged in valuable learning experiences, including job shadowing in a pharmacy, completing training modules, and observing lab demonstrations.
Program Details
Emily enrolled in the Pharmacy Technician program at the Des Plaines Valley Region with the goal of beginning a career in healthcare.
During the program, she completed coursework and hands-on training in areas such as medication safety, pharmacy calculations, and inventory management.
With support from Loyola University Medical Center, Emily completed the program in June 2026 and obtained her Pharmacy Technician license. This accomplishment will allow Emily to continue working towards her goal of working in the medical field and demonstrates her commitment to healthcare.
