Trayvion Harris' Success
Program Details
Trayvion Harris joined the IYIP Youth Employment Program on 6/19/2026 as a replacement for a participant who was discharged prematurely due to poor attendance. He was eager to begin his employment after being called from our waiting list. On Wednesday, June 17, he expressed his interest; supplied his employment documents promptly on Thursday, June 18; and arrived on time at 10 am on June 19 to complete onboarding assessments and Employment 101. He was assigned to the Habitat for Humanity worksite and hit the ground running. He showed immense leadership and a strong sense of ambition throughout his first few weeks of employment. He was immediately recognized for his dependability during work hours, as he was open to all assignments that were presented to him. As time went on, his attendance was affected by daycare and health issues with his young child, but he made up for every day he missed through his hard work, selfless attitude, and commitment to getting the job done. During periodic conversations with Habitat for Humanity, Mr. Harris’ work ethic, skills, and maturity were praised continuously. Amid praise, Mr. Harris’ inquiry about continued employment was reported, and their appreciation for his enthusiasm was also discussed. The last day of the season for the IYIP Program was August 7, and by Monday, August 10, Mr. Harris was hired as a permanent employee of Habitat for Humanity.
Trayvion Harris is a true success story, and we wish him continued success.
