Program Details

Cale, a 2026 senior from Litchfield, is currently in Year 1 of the Laborers Program. During the program, he has gained valuable experience. His favorite aspect has been learning about the various components of construction, which has given him a comprehensive understanding of the industry.
Cale notes that the most challenging part of the program has been the math concepts. However, he is steadily building his confidence and skills by practicing and applying what he learns in class. One of his favorite hands-on activities has been building sawhorses, where he can apply the tools, measurements, and techniques he learns in the program.
These experiences have deepened his understanding of a construction career, highlighting the importance of math, accurate tape measure use, and proper reading of board fittings. Cale’s hard work and dedication are laying a strong foundation for his future in construction.
