Program Details

Mr. David Marshall enrolled in the Angel of God Resource Center (AOGRC) Illinois Youth Investment Program (IYIP) and completed his paid work experience at Momo’s Sandwich Shop.

During his placement, Mr. Marshall demonstrated dedication, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. His performance made a positive impression on his manager, who hired him as a permanent employee following his paid work experience.

With an interest in hands-on work, Mr. Marshall’s long-term goal is to become an industrial electrician through an apprenticeship and electrical training. AOGRC is helping him compare programs and identify an affordable pathway with minimal out-of-pocket costs.

Mr. Marshall’s transition from paid work experience to permanent employment demonstrates how IYIP can help participants build workplace skills, demonstrate their abilities to employers, and move toward long-term career goals.
