Program Details

I-CAR has partnered with Amos Alonzo Stagg High School to deliver our Clean Energy Career Pathway Project to their learners. Through this program, participants take I-CAR’s comprehensive entry-level curriculum, I-CAR Academy, earning credentials across core fundamental learning areas as well as in Electric & Alternative Energy Vehicles. This program and its associated credentials help learners build industry-relevant skills and knowledge, improve employability, and connect to clean energy careers like electric and alternative energy vehicle repair. Currently, 25 students are participating in I-CAR’s Clean Energy Career Pathway program at Amos Alonzo Stagg High School.
Students in Amos Alonzo Stagg’s Collision Repair Program shared their commitment to career readiness by completing I-CAR’s digital learning module on Electric & Alternative Energy Vehicles. Students engaged with peers, exchanging knowledge on emerging vehicle technologies and the safety procedures required when working with electric vehicles. These students were excited to expand their technical skills and knowledge in the classroom, aligning with the hands-on learning and professional growth happening in the shop setting. These students are taking important steps toward preparing for the future of the automotive collision repair and clean energy vehicles industries.
I-CAR’s partnership with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has made it possible to expand I-CAR’s clean energy educational program across Illinois high schools, improving regional education-to-career pathways and supporting more learners pursuing clean energy careers.
