Ms. Kenae Kennedy joined AOGRC's IYIP program in August 2026, bringing previous work and volunteer experience and a commitment to her future.

In May 2026, she graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences, majoring in Communications and minoring in Child Health and Well Being.

Ms. Kennedy completed all employability training and came to the Riverdale office for additional training and job-search support.

After first serving as a volunteer, she gladly accepted an employment opportunity with the Office of Alderman Ronnie Mosley, Chicago's 21st Ward. She began working part time as an Aldermanic Aide on October 1, 2026.

In her role as an Aldermanic Aide, she processes service requests, greets visitors, answers calls, schedules appointments, answers residents' questions, and documents their concerns.

Her journey celebrates the power of preparation, service, and stepping forward when opportunity opens.
