LiveWire has been instrumental in helping Safer Foundation to build the infrastructure of our construction trades program. This company has given us the ability to utilize a state-of-the-art building to host our hands on portion of our training for apprentices.
This allowed Safer to enhance that impact that our training program initiative has for our returning citizen population. Being emerged in the best technology industry has to offer has been priceless. Livewire owner Shon Harris has a medium sized construction company. located in the heart of the south suburban area of Calumet Park, IL. He allowed us to champion a pilot program offering hands on training inside his building. In adding this real-world experience of hands-on training and being able to see experienced union level workers in their day-to-day operations. Has proven to be a key factor in our success for apprentices.
Mr. Harris has a passion for working with the underrepresented. He believes in providing access to opportunities is paramount. We are working together to improve diversity in the trades industry. Our partnership is helping Safer foundation to serve our core population in gaining access to this growing industry. The innovative spirit of LiveWire and other colleagues with like minds, will allow our returning citizens to have a larger stake into the union roles. Increasing the presence of minorities, women and returning citizens. Also, providing more access to the job market in the Chicagoland area.
