Ivette Mendoza has been a client of UCAN since August 22, 2022. Career Specialist Lionel Carter has assisted the client with job readiness skills and placement for the IYIP program. Ms. Mendoza has a kind spirit and continues progressing as she recently gained permanent employment within four weeks of working at the worksite. She shows great initiative and continues to flourish as she follows her future goals.

Ivette had a short-term goal of getting a job which she has done through the IYIP. She plans to save money for her return to college next year. Now that Ivette has permanent employment, she has more resources to benefit her future. Ms. Mendoza's long-term goal is to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science. Her dream is to participate in Game Development and Coding.

When asked what inspires her the most? Ms. Mendoza replied, "Her family and earning a stable income. Being able to afford necessities and to pay for hobbies on my own to become self-sufficient." It is truly a pleasure to work with youth Ivette Mendoza. Walgreens has become her permanent place of employment. She is genuinely excited to grow, learn, and build a foundation for her future.
