St. Clair County Intergovernmental Grants Department: Workforce Development Group and Madison County Training and Employment partnered to host an Apprenticeship Roundtable event at the Gateway Convention Center in Collinsville on November 15th. Debra Cremeens-Risinger, Illinois State Director, U.S. Department of Labor/Office of Apprenticeship, presented Pete Bergt with the keys to his new food truck. In part, Mr. Bergt completed his food truck apprenticeship training through a grant from St. Clair County’s Workforce Development Group. He will now manage his own food truck operation in partnership with Soulcial Kitchen. Soulcial Kitchen is the sponsor of the first Registered Food Truck Apprenticeship Program in the United States.
