Illinois Laborers’ & Contractors Joint Apprenticeship & Training Program recently celebrated the graduation of apprentice Wyatt Krawczyk to Journeyworker status. Wyatt, a member of Laborers Local #773-Marion, IL, is the first individual to complete the Laborers Construction Craft Prep Program (CCPP) and the Laborers Construction Craft Laborer (CCL) Apprenticeship Program.

Wyatt attended the CCPP program during his Junior and Senior years of High School, attending required classes at our Marion Training Facility for 2 hours each day. While attending these classes, he attained credits for successful completion, which were then awarded to him upon his acceptance as a CCL apprentice through Local #773 in June 2020. Due to Wyatt’s completion of the CCPP program, he was able to be credited with 440 required classroom hours for the apprenticeship program. Wyatt was then required to attain 3,000 hours of related on-the-job experience working for various contractors throughout the Southern Illinois area.

This is an excellent example of how our CCPP program produces skilled individuals ready to enter our Construction Craft Laborer Apprenticeship Program.

We applaud Wyatt for his hard work and dedication to completing both of our programs and welcome him as a Journeyworker to the Laborers’ International Union of North America.
