My name is Rosa Trejo. The Youth Career Pathway program has done so much for me and many other students in my community. This program offered great opportunities to get certified in such as CPR, OSHA 10, and NCCER. The training I received from the Youth Career Pathway helped me gain better experience and knowledge about how to get better job offers. It gave me a chance to have a clearer view of my journey to finding the right career. My certifications allowed me to receive higher pay at my current job, as well as taught me to be more professional and have a better work record within my field. One of the things I enjoyed about this program was its flexibility regarding my hectic schedule. My case manager, Manuela Gracia, worked with me and made accommodations to help me be successful in the program. That is great for people who work full-time, part-time or have a lot going on at home. Another thing that I enjoyed about the program is that it's excellent for young people of my generation, 16-24, to have this opportunity.

The Youth Career Pathway program allows those out of school to get a feel for what is out there. If you are not ready to go to college, this program is a great way to build up your career and a fantastic opportunity to kick-start life. It is always great to have a plan A and B to fall back on. This program is an opportunity to continue to do great things to improve yourself. Especially when we don’t have time or know where to start. The Youth Career Pathway helped me get certified. With my certification, I can take advantage of all the skills I gained to advance in my career and future.
