Program Details

Adrian Mena graduated from Curie High School in 2022 and participated in the Youth Career Pathways Program through Brighton Park Neighborhood Council. The program helped stabilize him since he had to pause school due to financial circumstances. Adrian could support his family and himself because he was paid for participating in the program. Part of the program focused on job and life skills, which helped Adrian create a resume and prepare himself to apply for a job and enroll in college. He was certified in laser cutting and 3D printing, which was a great addition to his resume! The program helped him learn excellent communication and presentation skills needed for his interest in becoming a teacher.
