Program Details

The Services in Education and Economic Development (S.E.E.D.) Youth Financial Services had the opportunity to work with Ms. Aysha Lewis. During the program, Ms. Lewis explored different avenues of getting into her desired early childcare and education career field. While in the program, she committed time and effort to apply for her Paraprofessional Educator License with the Illinois State Board of Education. She is nearing completion of ECE Level 1 Credentialing awarded through the Department of Human Services, Illinois Gateways to Opportunity platform.

Additionally, Ms. Lewis worked with us at S.E.E.D. as a temporary summer employee holding a Business Development Associate position and reported to the Program Director. As an employee, she was always punctual and had excellent attendance. During her time on our team, Ms. Lewis demonstrated excellent time-management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills. She worked very well in our team environment and made a valuable contribution to every project. She is also a great wordsmith and proofreader.

Ms. Lewis is currently employed in clothing retail and is continuing her post-secondary education.
