Program Details

My name is Taneese McKinley, and I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity that the Youth Advocacy Foundation (YAF) has offered me. When I thought my goals and dreams of becoming a nurse were slim to none, YAF stepped in and allowed me to receive training as a CNA. I went to Nirvana Institute, and I loved it. The school was hands-on, and the support I received with weekly check-ins, gas cards, and motivation has been a tremendous help to me. This opportunity has put me back on track with my nursing career and opened more job opportunities with great pay to support myself. I just landed my first job as a CNA/caregiver manager at a nursing home with great pay and benefits. I am also looking for a college to become a LPN.  Thank you, YAF, for giving me this opportunity; it's intensely and deeply appreciated.
