Program Details
Abra Slover entered the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act office at Wabash Area Development, Inc. in July 2023. She wanted assistance with the Registered Nurse program at Frontier Community College. Abra applied for the WIOA program and was eligible for the Adult program. Abra completed the two-year program with Bs and Cs in her classes and clinicals. She enjoyed going to the different clinical sites to get a broad perspective on how things were done at different facilities. Abra graduated in May 2025 and has started employment as an RN at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Fairfield, Illinois. She is very appreciative of all the assistance the program provided her with tuition, books, uniforms, mileage reimbursement, and testing fee reimbursement.
