Program Details

When I first came to Next Move Community Services, I was looking for a second source of income. I never imagined how much more I would gain. Through their work program, I received the guidance and support I needed, making the experience smooth and accessible. After completing the program, Kiany, the Executive Director, shared that they wanted to fill a Peer Support Specialist position—someone around my age. Their belief in me and continued encouragement made it impossible to say no.

Since joining the team, working at Next Move has become so much more than just a job—it’s been truly purpose-fulfilling. Seeing the impact we make in our community is genuinely breathtaking, and I feel proud to be part of something so meaningful. Even as a small organization, we’ve been able to help so many people in powerful ways. Here at Next Move, I’ve found my purpose and my passion. I’ve found a team I can call family—people who show up for each other, uplift one another, and are deeply committed to our work. Our belief in each other and shared dedication to success set us apart. We’ve created a healthy, supportive, and motivating environment; that energy shows in everything we do. Our mission is to serve the community with heart. We ensure that every client who enters our office leaves with more hope and peace than when they arrived. That is the difference I’ve been searching for—and that’s the difference we strive to make daily. We live by our 5Cs motto: Community, Collaboration, Compassion, Confidence, and Commitment. I’m honored to be part of this vision, this movement for change, and I’m forever grateful for the opportunities and growth that Next Move has given me.
