Program Details

Being part of the Destiny Outreach program gave me the opportunity to explore different career paths. The trainings were incredibly helpful, teaching us what to and what not to do in the film and production industry. We learned about the importance of good communication skills, the necessity of being on time—because being late can delay everything—and when it's appropriate to use our phones.

I also learned about "above the line" and "below the line" jobs. This program truly helped me achieve my goal of wanting to know more about film and production because we got to experience what a real production set would look like. It was extremely helpful to learn about and visually see what the film world is like in real life. I never would have expected to see how certain scenes are created.

This program really opened my eyes to many different things. One positive change that came from it is that I've learned how to speak in front of a crowd without feeling scared or nervous because everyone was so welcoming. I'm also not as shy as I was when I first started the program, and I have a clearer idea of what I might want to do career-wise.
