Program Details

Dabian received delivery work experience and Employability Training. During the hiring process, Dabian expressed interest in becoming a Class A CDL Driver. Dabian was introduced to different aspects of the package delivery industry, including:

• On Road Safety (Defensive Driving, Distracted Driving Avoidance)
• Proper Loading/Unloading Technique
• Behind-the-Wheel Training on public roads
• Package Delivery
• Vehicle Pre-Trip and Post-Trip
• Customer Service Skills
• Time Management and Route Optimization
• Technology (GPS, Handheld Devices, In-Cab Cameras)

Dabian went above and beyond by asking questions, shadowing delivery drivers, and even staying later to understand logistics challenges. At the end of the training program, Dabian was awarded full-time employment as a Delivery Driver. Dabian was offered a salary of $24 per hour, with benefits including retirement savings, performance bonuses, health insurance, and tuition reimbursement. Dabian will be attending Trucking School to attain his Class A CDL.
