In Illinois, chiropractors must be licensed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Licensing requirements include:

  • at least two years of pre-professional chiropractic study;
  • graduation from an approved chiropractic college;
  • passage of examinations conducted by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners; and, payment of fees.
