In Illinois, chiropractors must be licensed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Licensing requirements include:
- at least two years of pre-professional chiropractic study;
- graduation from an approved chiropractic college;
- passage of examinations conducted by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners; and, payment of fees.
