Interpersonal Relationships

  • Have a high level of job-required social contact.
  • Communicate daily with customers and coworkers by phone, e-mail, and in person.
  • Usually work as part of a team and are responsible for the work done by others.
  • Write memos and letters weekly.

Physical Work Conditions

  • Nearly always work indoors. Sometimes work outdoors or in areas without heat or air conditioning.
  • Often work in cramped work spaces.
  • Sometimes work close to others, such as in a shared office.
  • Are sometimes exposed to hazardous conditions that produce minor burns, cuts, or electric shock.

Work Performance

  • Must be sure that all details are done and their work is exact. Errors could cause customers to be dissatisfied.

  • Must meet deadlines while working.

Hours/Travel

  • Typically work a 40-hour week. May work weekends.
  • May travel to make service calls to customers' homes.
