In a typical work setting, engineering technologists and technicians:

Interpersonal Relationships

  • Communicate with others in person, over the phone, or by email daily. Occasionally write letters and memos.
  • Occasionally deal with conflict situations.
  • Are moderately responsible for the work and safety of others.
  • Frequently work as part of a team.

Physical Work Conditions

  • Almost always work indoors.
  • Usually work in close proximity to others in a shared office or lab space.
  • Are occasionally exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting.

Work Performance
