Interpersonal Relationships

  • Work in close proximity to others and are often exposed to diseases and infections from patients.

Work Performance

  • Must be exact in their work. Errors could seriously endanger patients' health.
  • Make decisions daily that strongly impact patients. They make most decisions without talking to a supervisor or doctor.
  • Are usually able to set their tasks for the day without consulting with a supervisor.
  • Work in a very competitive atmosphere and meet daily deadlines.

Hours/Travel

  • Generally have a set schedule each week.
  • Most work more than 40 hours a week.
