Interpersonal Relationships
- Have a high level of social contact with coworkers and customers.
- Communicate with others each day by phone, e-mail, and in person. Occasionally write letters and memos.
- Work as part of a team and coordinate with others.
- Are somewhat responsible for the health and safety of others.

Physical Work Conditions
- Always work indoors.
- Work close to others when performing tests and assisting patients with hearing aids.
- Are occasionally exposed to diseases when working with patients. Sometimes wear protective gear such as gloves.

- Be exact and accurate in their work. Errors could lead to hearing aids that do not fit patients.
- Make decisions that have a major impact on others. Make most decisions without consulting a supervisor first.
