Drafting and Design Technology - Helpful Information

Things to know

Even if you never enter another degree program, you will need to keep learning over the course of your career. Computer technology will continue to change, and new drafting software will be developed. You will need to take courses to keep your skills up-to-date.

You may want to consider becoming certified by the American Design Drafting Association (ADDA). Employers usually do not require this. Nevertheless, it can show that you have a good understanding of standard drafting concepts and practices. To be certified, you need to pass an exam.
