Child care services management is a hands-on program of study, and interning gives you valuable experience in this respect. Both the Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition and the National Child Care Association offer programs that you can take to earn a professional credential in child care. Although many states do not have formal licensing requirements, a credential shows potential employers and nervous parents that you are competent and knowledgeable.
