Things to know

Graduating from an accredited program in family and consumer sciences qualifies you to take the National Family and Consumer Sciences Exam for certification. You need at least a bachelor's degree to take this exam. Although certification is not always necessary to apply your studies in a job, it does show employers and clients your professional competence and knowledge.
