Electroneurodiagnostic Technology - Helpful Information

Things to know

Graduating from an accredited program in END technology qualifies you to become a registered END technologist. To do this, you have to take the national registry exam administered by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET).

The job market for trained END technologists is growing and is expected to continue to grow much faster than the average occupation through the year 2005.

All programs require you to have health insurance.

You are expected to pay for your own uniforms and transportation during your clinical training.

You should be able to hear and see clearly, and have adequate use of both hands. You may also work with patients who have communicable diseases. As one school put it, however, "you have a greater chance at winning the lottery" than contracting an infectious disease.
