Recreation and Parks Management - Helpful Information

Things to know

An associate degree or a bachelor's degree typically prepares you for entry- to mid-level management positions in the field. A master's degree prepares you for higher-level management positions. If you're interested in research or college-level teaching, you should earn a doctoral degree in this program.

The National Recreation and Park Association offers different levels of certification for graduates of recreation and park management programs. Each level depends on the degree that you earn. Certification is voluntary. However, it shows potential employers your competence and knowledge, which is measured against nationally recognized standards.
