Licensed Practical Nursing - Helpful Information

Things to know

Many LPNs decide to get a bachelor's degree in nursing and become registered nurses. This allows you to advance to supervisory positions.

Many employers will pay for some or all of your tuition if you decide to become an RN.

Once you receive your LPN diploma or degree, you must take the National Council Licensing Exam – Practical Nurse. You must pass this exam in order to become licensed to provide nursing care in your state.
