Class A CDL Truck Driving Training Course 200

This program is certified by CVTA and meets or exceeds the basic hiring criteria for over forty major truckload freight haulers seeking drivers. The program provides students the opportunity to gain knowledge and develop skills that will provide a means of earning a living as a truck driver. The program includes classroom instruction, as well as in truck skill and street/highway training. This training encompasses safe, efficient braking, shifting, turning, vehicle inspection and maintenance, coupling and uncoupling, safe driving practices, communication, visual search, speed and space management, log-keeping, cargo handling and documentation. This course also includes the hazardous material endorsement and is recommended for students that have never driven a manual transmission vehicle.

The prospective student should schedule an appointment with Progressive Truck Driving School Inc. During the information meeting The Admissions Counselor will present the prospective student with a variety of our CDL training programs and explain a job placement opportunity while pre-screening if the individual meets the trucking industry standards student may be accepted into a program of study once they satisfy all of the following requirements: Meet the minimum age requirement is 21 years of age, have a high school Diploma or GED Certificate, Have a Valid Illinois Driver's License, Present a copy of his/her court purposes motor vehicle record, present a copy of a resume, pass the required medical examination (49 CFR 391.41-391.49) with a drug screen. The maximum tuition amount for this occupation is $5,000.
