Management Analysts - Working Conditions

In a typical work setting, management analysts:

Interpersonal Relationships

  • Communicate by e-mail, telephone, and in person on a daily basis. They also write letters and memos, but less often.
  • Occasionally speak in front of large groups.
  • Are very responsible for the work done by coworkers.
  • Often work as part of a team and coordinate with others.

Physical Work Conditions

  • Almost always work indoors.
  • Work close to others, such as when sharing office space.

Work Performance

  • Must complete and accurate in their work. Errors could cause clients to lose money or time.
  • Make decisions without consulting a supervisor first that impact others regular basis.
  • Set most of their daily tasks and goals without consulting others.
  • Work in a competitive environment and meet weekly deadlines.

Hours/Travel

  • Usually work a set schedule each week.
  • Work 40 hours a week.
  • May occasionally work more than 40 hours a week to meet deadlines.
