In Illinois, real estate brokers must be licensed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Requirements include:
- Successful completion of 90 hours of classroom instruction, including 15 hours on situational offerings in a classroom or interactive setting, and;
- 30 class hours of post education within first renewal period.
Licensure must be renewed every two years and requires 12 hours of continuing education.
