Program Description
The Aviation Maintenance Technology program gives you the
opportunity to obtain the FAA-approved Airframe and/or
Powerplant Certificate in one year and an Associate in Applied
Science degree with an additional semester of classes. The FAAapproved certificate allows you to take the FAA written, oral and
practical tests in the General, Airframe, and Powerplant courses.
Upon successful completion of the FAA tests, the FAA will issue
a FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant License.
This program offers a one-year or two-year format. The one-year
format allows you to obtain the A&P Certificate (core courses) in
50 weeks (eight hours per day). The two-year format allows you
to complete the A&P Certificate or Associate in Applied Science
degree taking classes four hours per day.
