Program Description

The responsibility of a phlebotomist is to collect blood for a laboratory analysis, which is necessary for the diagnosis and care of a patient. Some common duties are: prepare patient for collection, collect routine skin puncture and venous specimens for testing, maintain patient confidentiality, transport specimens to the laboratory and maintain a safe working environment and more.
