Program Description

The program consists of classroom instruction and hands-on training on the computer. The course will enable the student to understand and apply the Current Procedureal Terminology and the International Classification of Diseases in documenting medical information. He will be exposed to health insurance billing topics, become familiar with health insurance terminology, understand the legal implications of insurance billing, develop a basic understanding of medical coding system and accurately complete insurance claim forms.
