Program Description

This program is designed to give the student knowledge and skills on practical nursing concepts and application of this knowledge in a promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health for clients. Students will participate in assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. Classroom study covers basic nursing concepts and subjects related to patient care, including medical-surgical nursing, administration of medications, geriatrics, pediatrics, mothers and newborn care, and pharmacology. Clinical experiences are conducted in long-term and short-term facilities, rehabilitation units, and community health organizations where students provide nursing care to mental health, surgical, maternal, and geriatric patients. Upon successful completion, the student will be qualified to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN).

Submit the following requirement: High School or GED Diploma or Transcript of highest education level attained and valid ID. 4. Pass the TEAS for the PN Program.
