Program Description
This course will help you become knowledgeable in powered industrial truck (forklift) operation. You will gain valuable knowledge and the skills required to operate a lift truck in a correct and professional manner. OSHA requires anyone who operates a powered industrial truck to be trained and authorized. Note: to become an authorized or qualified operator, the owner of the forklift must also evaluate you on-site. Students will be required to demonstrate practical lift truck operation skills. Trucks covered are ITA(Industrial Truck Association) Class 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.
